This is a collection of diagnostic tools: tcpspray Checks throughput of a network link trafshow Shows network packets on your system statnet Shows network status netwatch Shows network status in color. More info than statnet. tcpblast Actively try to figure out maximum throughput on a link. All of these come with manpages some are constructed by Christoph Lameter <clameter@debian.org> since they were lacking. You can enable access to the above commands and traceroute/tcpdump from a user level by running the script diagperm with a parameter which group should have access. Philip Hands <phil@hands.com> With diagperm being outdated I moved it to /usr/share/doc/netdiag. Michael Meskes <meskes@debian.org>
